About the Opportunity 


Vision Infrastructure has undergone unprecedent growth since its establishment and is looking towards even stronger growth in the second half of 2022. As a result, we are currently seeking to appoint a Contracts Manager to compliment our existing team and drive high level outcomes for our organisation and its clients.


Reporting to the Commercial, Risk and Governance Director, this role is accountable for:

  • Project delivery commercial contracts support, including collating and preparing key contractual notices. 

  • Project claims and dispute management, as well as managing the dispute resolution process

  • Providing commercial advice and supporting contractual reviews and negotiations.

  • Advising on key project issues and finding best for project solutions.

  • Assessing and managing key risks and liabilities in construction project contracts.

  • Advising clients on pre and post-contract commercial capability and consistency.

  • Supporting the leadership team where required with ad-hoc contract management duties

  • Negotiating contract terms and conditions with suppliers/subcontractor


 About You

  • Minimum of 2-5 years’ legal and/or commercial experience in the engineering and construction industry

  • Tertiary qualifications in Law, Commerce, Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent.

  • Experience in contract management practices, including claims management.

  • Experience in different types of project contractual structures.

  • Previous exposure to contract/construction law and statutory and legal obligations for the engineering and construction sector

  • Strong drafting experiences including dispute documents, such as claims notices, briefs, court documents, affidavits, as well as construction contracts and other ancillary documents.

  • Ability to advise and communicate on complex legal issues

  • Highly effective communication style teamed with strong inter-personal, negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Collaborative approach and demonstrated ability to influence organisational culture.

  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritise and work well under pressure.

  • Excellent oral and written skills

  • Ability to set personal workloads, prioritise, observe time constraints and plan and coordinate adherence to deadlines

  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to follow processes thoroughly

  • Willing to learn new skills
