About the Opportunity  

 

The position will provide the opportunity to do real work with real clients, while immersing yourself in the business’ culture and values.

 

We are seeking a highly analytical final year law student (or student currently undertaking their PLT) with an interest in contract and construction law. You must be studying a degree or discipline majoring in Law; ideally a LLB or Juris Doctor. In this role you will provide high level support to the business.

Your day will involve:

  • Legal Tasks: Legal research, drafting documents and management of client matters under supervision; and

  • Administrative Tasks:  Client research, collecting and sorting documents, preparing social media content and assisting in the day to day activities of the business.

 

This position can be either part-time or full-time, depending on your study needs.

Work will be performed in person in our office in Sydney, however due to COVID restrictions, applicants may be required to train and work from home until restrictions are lifted.

 

About You

  • Highly effective communication style teamed with strong inter-personal, negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as prioritise and work well under pressure.

  • Excellent oral and written skills.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to use initiative and work with minimum supervision.

  • Ability to set personal workloads, prioritise, observe time constraints and plan and coordinate adherence to deadlines.

  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to follow process thoroughly.

  • Willing to learn new skills.

  • A "Can Do" attitude to consistently ensure the completion of the daily workload.
